Keystroke Loggers

Keystroke loggers are simple to use, and are inexpensive solutions that can provide you with a "last ditch" backup and recovery method, a tool for regulatory compliance, or a 'checks-and-balance for compliance with your company's security guidelines, Human Resources policies and acceptable use policies. When properly used they can discourage otherwise unacceptable behavior on your company's computers and reduce the time wasted by employees "surfing the Net" for non-business purposes. For a more discreet or covert application of undetectable keystroke logging, we suggest you review our line of security keyboards.

The HH-2005 series of Keystroke Loggers are very simple devices to connect and use. It resembles a standard keyboard (PS/2) connector cable but inside the logger is a tiny computer chip and a flash memory chip (non-volatile, same as in smart cards). The tiny computer chip captures keystrokes as they are typed on the keyboard, and the memory chip stores all of the keystrokes.

To install the device, all you need to do is plug it in between your keyboard cable and your computer. The logger is ready to record the instant you plug it in. Tamper evident seals are provided with each device so that no one can remove it without your knowledge (children, employees etc). The seals wrap easily around both plugs that attach the unit to the keyboard cable.

There is no software to configure or install! As keys are typed the data is stored inside a memory chip in the device. When you want to see what's been recorded simply open any word processor or text editor like MS WordPad or Notepad and type in your personal password. You will be presented with a menu allowing you to view what's been recorded or you can perform a "keyword" search.

You can navigate through the menus by entering typing in the number corresponding with the command.

      The Menu:
        1-View Memory
        2-Erase Memory
        3-Change Password
        4-Disable Recording
        5- Output
        6-Search for String
        7-Exit

Viewing Memory - This will view all the memory stored on the Keystroke logger. When much information is stored searching for a string can be much quicker. To view the Information on the Keystroke logger you would enter 1 on the keyboard while in the menu and to erase you would enter the number 2.

Enable/Disable Recording - When recording is not needed recording can be disabled, simply enter the administrative mode by entering the admin password then toggle the setting from on to off or off to on. Even if the device is unplugged from the keyboard it will still remember EVERYTHING and you wont lose a single keystroke.

The model HH-2005 comes in three versions:

The world's smallest keystroke recorder.  It is only 4cm long, yet stores ALL keystrokes, including PASSWORDS, e-mail, chat, instant messaging, Internet and more.  The Model 32K is suitable for home use, but requires more frequent checking than the 64K model.
